1984
The Spotnicks new LP is released in many European countries, in Germany as a picture-LP, a rare collectible for fans.
In Sweden the album cover is changed when the second edition is released. The reason for this is that Arne Österlindh wasn’t on the original jacket.
During a big part of the year The Spotnicks tour in for example Sweden, Germany, Belgium and Denmark.
In March they play in Jönköping and in May a fan club meeting is arranged in Södertälje, when the band is playing there. In April the group does a concert for the Swedish radio and this is broadcast live. On the 26th of June they play in Karlsborg.
Unfortunately, this successful line-up of The Spotnicks break up already in November this year, due to disagreements and problems in collaboration.
Instead, Bo Winberg meet up with Bob Lander and Björn Thelin again and together with Arne Österlindh, Lasse Öhberg and Ove Lindell they record the LP Highway boogie.

I’m happy to take part of the celebrations myself. This incredible party is held on the restaurant Gamle Port in Gothenburg, on the 27th of March.
On account of Bo’s birthday I have asked the fairground Liseberg to arrange a concert with The Spotnicks and to place a casting of Bo Winbergs hands in the park. Bo Maniette is the man to thank for the realization of all this, but I’m still proud to have come up with the idea... Representatives for Liseberg hand over this gift to Bo during his birthday party.
